An impressive Fowl study.

Born in Paris, Barye began his career as a goldsmith, like many sculptors of the Romantic Period. After studying under sculptor Francois-Joseph Bosio and painter Baron Antoine-Jean Gros he was in 1818 admitted to the École des Beaux Arts. But it was not until 1823, while working for Fauconnier, the goldsmith, that he discovered his true predilection from watching the animals in the Jardin des Plantes, making vigorous studies of them in pencil drawings comparable to those of Delacroix, then modelling them in sculpture on a large or small scale.

Hunting Dogs Bronze Statue Lion and Serpent by Antoine Louis Barye (1795-1895) wildlife L'Accolade Bronze Statue after Pierre-Jules Mêne

Jules Moigniez's bronzes were most decorative, particularly those of game birds. He also sculpted dogs, farm animals and equestrian groups. Moigniez's dogs reflected the "naturalism" style of Pierre Jules Mene. His bird sculptures were reminiscent of paintings by deHondecoeter, Casteels and Snyders. His sculptures of birds reflect dynamic movement, as if captured through a high-speed photographic portrait.

Pierre Jules Mêne, (1810 -1879), was a French Sculptor and animalière. He is considered the pioneer of animal sculpture in the nineteenth-century.

"Because the overt sexuality of his female nudes was offensive to many prospective buyers, animal subjects brought Lachaise his first popular success.  The "Peacocks" has become an icon of modern American sculpture."

Tyrannosaurus Rex Dinasaur Bronze Statue T-Rex Walking Panther Bronze Sculpture after Rembrandt Bugatti Statue

Like other tyrannosaurids, Tyrannosaurus was a bipedal carnivore with a massive skull balanced by a long, heavy tail. Relative to the large and powerful hindlimbs, Tyrannosaurus forelimbs were small, though unusually powerful for their size, and bore two clawed digits. Although other theropods rivaled or exceeded Tyrannosaurus rex in size, it was the largest known tyrannosaurid and one of the largest known land predators, measuring up to 12.8 m (42 ft) in length, up to 4 metres (13 ft) tall at the hips, and up to 6.8 metric tons (7.5 short tons) in weight. By far the largest carnivore in its environment, Tyrannosaurus rex may have been an apex predator, preying upon hadrosaurs and ceratopsians, although some experts have suggested it was primarily a scavenger. The debate over Tyrannosaurus as apex predator or scavenger is among the longest running debates in paleontology.

This is a unique rendition of Bugatti's walking panther.
